Communication Dashboards; new performance measurement tools that have been around awhile
Corporate communications (including public relations) is now of strategic value to organisations. Senior management knows that it can (and does) play a critical role in helping them to achieve their business goals.
So they expect communication practitioners to use sophisticated performance measurement tools. Tools that ensure that tactical programmes remain on course and strategies achieve their desired outcomes. Tools that have been used by other parts of the organisation for many years.
We took a long hard look at those other disciplines and noted how they used dashboards.
Using dashboards, these departments have been able to achieve:
